Pinback – “Sherman” Video

I've spent a lot of time with the new Pinback album, Information Retrieved, over the last week or so. I love the thing. If you like Pinback, I can't see how you wouldn't love it. It's everything I love about Pinback -- it's clean, intricate, elliptical, elaborately layered, beautifully melodic, strangely serene -- except more so. The band just released a video for "Sherman," which actually isn't even one of my two or three favorite songs on the album at the moment, but is still totally, unimpeachably great. The video is a retro-futuristic sci-fi short, with Zach and Rob in shiny spacesuits. Check it out.
