Just about every year, Yo La Tengo take over their hometown club Maxwell's for a series of Hanukkah shows, which are generally described as amazing and which often feature a few special guests sitting in. This year's run of shows, no exception, had it share of help from indie luminaries. Andrew Bird played scratchy violin attacks during the band's cover of the Velvet Underground's "Heroin," and fellow Jersey indie legends the Feelies traded guitar freakouts with Yo La Tengo on a sprawling 16-minute version of the VU's "Sister Ray." The Feelies also sat in on Yo La's own "The Room Got Heavy." Meanwhile, Real Estate's Martin Courtney joined the band for "Our Way To Fall." Watch some fan-made videos below.
