Stream Broadcast Berberian Sound Studio
British post-rock band Broadcast were recording the soundtrack to the Warp film Berberian Sound Studio — an homage to 1970s Italian horror movies — when vocalist Trish Keegan passed away in 2011 at age 42. The band — now down to original bassist James Cargill — is said to be working on a new album featuring vocals recorded by Keegan prior to her death. But for now, we’ve got Berberian Sound Studio. We first heard a song from the album, “The Equestrian Vortex,” last October. But now, NPR is streaming the whole thing. Check it out.
Berberian Sound Studio is out 1/8 via Warp.
