Watch Big Boi On Letterman
Last night, Big Boi played musical guest on the Late Show With David Letterman, surging through “Apple Of My Eye,” a rippling funk track from his new solo album Vicious Lies And Dangerous Rumors. Big Boi brought a full backing band, including the visibly delighted producer Jake Troth, who played gawky, incongruous backup singer. It’s a fun performance, and you can watch it below.
Vicious Lies And Dangerous Rumors is out now on Def Jam. And in other Big Boi news, he’s throwing a verse on Frank Ocean’s Andre 3000 collaboration “Pink Matter,” and thus staging the closest thing to an OutKast reunion we’ve heard in quite some time.
