God knows it’s lame to lump every gay rapper in with every other gay rapper, but for those of us raised on rap’s sometimes-oppressive heteronormative hypermasculinity (i.e. all of is), it’s been pretty incredible to watch the rise of a new subset of hardass, unapologetic vogue-ball club-rappers. Yesterday, Le1f released his great Fly Zone mixtape, and today we get a more hardcore, finesse-free blast in the form of The Eulogy, the new tape from New York rapper Cakes Da Killa. It’s a salacious, sonically unrelenting pileup of every of-the-moment club-rap trend, and you can check it out below.
