Washed Out – “The Sound Of Creation”
As part of a promotional deal with Phillips, bedroom-synthpop impressionist Ernest Greene, better known to all but his parents as Washed Out, was assigned the task of making “autobiographical exploration of his music influences.” The result, “The Sound Of Creation,” is a short but deeply pretty instrumental that Greene made with foley sound effects; I’m pretty sure cricket-chirps are a part of the rhythmic track.
