On this year's Record Store Day, Best Coast will release a 7" single of a new song with the very collegiate title "Fear Of My Identity." And while we're not yet allowed to hear the whole song, there's a minute-long clip of it up online, and it sounds like the Best Coast we heard before they got around to releasing albums: Chunky fuzzed-out guitars, straightforward in-the-pocket drums, uttery warm Bethany Cosentino vocals. Record Store Day is 4/20 this year, so maybe it's not a surprise that Best Coast is choosing the day to drop something new.
