Record Store Day 2013 Release List Unveiled
Record Store Day has become an annual tradition over the past few years (or, if you include their Black Friday specials, a semi-annual tradition). This year, it falls on 4/20, which means countless consumers will have to make the heartbreaking choice between weed and vinyl. But if it makes that decision any easier, the Record Store Day people have just unveiled this year’s list of special releases, and it includes new releases from Pulp, Best Coast, Titus Andronicus, the xx, Iron And Wine, Destroyer, the Black Keys, the Hold Steady, Superchunk (covering Faith and Void!), Shearwater and Sharon Van Etten, Ty Segall, Rhye, Phosphorescent, Moby and Mark Lanegan, Thurston Moore, Surfer Blood, Dan Deacon, Junior Boys, Black Lips, a Place To Bury Strangers, Atmosphere, Black Milk, Beak>, Calexico, and Chris Walla. There’s also a pile of reissues, including an improbable vinyl version of the Flaming Lips quadrophonic experience Zaireeka. Check out the full list here.
