Last year, we gave Album Of The Week to Six, the debut from the Connecticut post-hardcore band Empty Flowers. That album rocked hard, but it did so in a stretched-out, astrally inclined way that recalled Lungfish. The band’s new Bandcamp single “I Get To Know Its Name” still has some Lungfish in it, but it also reminds me of Girls Against Boys, who sparked intense scrape-rock with a rhythm section that brought a serious bottom-heavy thump. The song whomps all kinds of ass, and you can hear it below.
