Watch Footage From The Knife’s Wild Shaking The Habitual Live Show
The Knife are not exactly road dogs. Before last night, the mysterious Swedish electronic duo hadn’t played a live show in seven years. And, arguably, they still haven’t. On Friday night, the group performed in Bremen, Germany, but it’s not entirely clear that the bizarre event was a live show by any usual definition. Instead, the duo were accompanied by a troupe of dancers who twirled, lip-synced, and acted out the various songs. Consequence Of Sound has a couple of accounts of perplexed and, in one case, angry fans who attended the show. And considering that they’re playing near the top of the bill at some very large European festivals this summer, it’ll be interesting to see whether the Knife continue with this presentation of their live show. In the meantime, EMI has been quickly removing fan-made videos from the show, but there’s one below, of backlit dancers getting down to “Silent Shout.” Observe:
The Knife’s new album Shaking The Habitual is out now on Mute.
