Last month, Scottish indie-pop veterans the Pastels returned to release “Check My Heart,” the first taste of Slow Summits, their first new album in 16 years. (It’s got a pretty nifty video, too.) Now, they’ve shared that single’s B-side, a relatively lush and wispy number caled “Illumination Song.” The Pastels’ Katrina Mitchell co-wrote the song and recorded a previous version of it with the Japanese pop star Hideki Kaji.
