Rock The Bells 2013 To Feature “Virtual Performances” By Ol’ Dirty Bastard, Eazy-E
The traveling rap festival Rock The Bells always brings a deep and impressive lineup, but this year, it will try something new, potentially upstaging the famous hologram-Tupac moment at last years Coachella. This year’s Rock The Bells, which will take the form of four different two-day festivals around the country, will feature two dead rap legends in hologram form: Ol’ Dirty Bastard, who will perform during the Wu-Tang Clan’s set, and Eazy-E, who will virtually rejoin his old proteges Bone Thugs N Harmony. Maybe a Big Pun hologram would’ve required too many projectors? As always, the fest will also include a ton of big and upcoming rap names.
This year’s lineup also includes the complete Black Hippy lineup of Kendrick Lamar, Schoolboy Q, Ab-Soul, and Jay Rock, as well as Odd Future leading lights Tyler, The Creator and Earl Sweatshirt. And it’ll also feature Danny Brown, E-40 & Too Short, Rakim, Big K.R.I.T., Curren$y, Juicy J, the reunited Jurassic 5, Common, Flatbush Zombies, Talib Kweli, and Tech N9ne, and a bunch of others, with more names on the way.
