Ty Segall Announces New Album Sleeper
Last year, the young Bay Area garage-rock god Ty Segall released three full-length albums, which is ridiculous. Thus far this year, he’s been in slothful mode, limiting himself to a couple of singles from his new stoner-metal power trio Fuzz, a T. Rex tribute EP, and a heaping handful of spare tracks. And now he’s announced that he’ll drop at least one full-length, Sleeper, during the 2013 calendar year. In a new ad, he previews a few seconds of music from it. Those few seconds make it sound like he’s entering his strummy acoustic afghan-rug phase, which could be amazing. Check it out:
Sleeper is out 8/20 on Drag City.
