On a recent session the NPR show World Cafe, the excellently twitchy New York-via-Texas indie band Parquet Courts started things off with "Light Up Gold," the title track from their late-2012 debut album, which continues to sound better every time I play it. But for the rest of their session, they stuck entirely with new songs, songs written since the album's release. The three new tracks -- "Dear Ramona," "Got Me Wondering Now," and "The More I Use It, The More It Works" -- cover a lot of stylistic ground, and they're enough to show that Light Up Gold was no fluke. Listen to the whole session here.
