Daft Punk Without Their Helmets
There are few known photos of Daft Punk without their robot helmets, iconic headpieces that have inspired pricey imitations on the secondary market. Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo recently told Rolling Stone “We’re not performers, we’re not models — it would not be enjoyable for humanity to see our features.” You might disagree.
The French duo, whose Random Access Memories debuted at #1 on the Billboard Charts and landed at #4 on our list of the best albums of 2013 so far, was in NYC yesterday filming something with model Karlie Kloss. When they stopped in at Columbia HQ and drank some champagne, the helmets came off and production duo the Knocks shared a photo on Facebook. Check it out below, along with a Vine of the robots on the streets on Manhattan.
Random Access Memories is out now via Columbia.
