Queens Of The Stone Age – “100 Days” (Mark Lanegan Cover)
Mark Lanegan, the former Screaming Trees frontman and current avatar of world-weary whiskey-dipped badassery, is effectively a part-time member of Queens Of The Stone Age; …Like Clockwork, the new QOTSA album, is the fifth of the band’s albums to feature Lanegan’s vocals. (Lanegan also toured with the band for a few years.) And in a recent session for the French radio station OuiFM, Queens frontman Josh Homme found another way to express his admiration for Lanegan: Covering “100 Days,” a song from Lanegan’s 2004 album Bubblegum. The QOTSA album is a fine example of acoustic tough-guy stoner-rock. Listen to it below.
