Andrew Cedermark – “On Me”
Next month, the former Titus Andronicus and lo-fi tape scene veteran Andrew Cedermark will release the hazy, summery new solo album Home Life, and everything that we’ve heard from it thus far has just been exceptional. The first two songs we posted, “Canis Major” and “At Home” were straight-up indie-fuzz bliss. But the next track from the LP, “On Me,” is a bit of a left turn. It’s an oblique, splintered half-cover of the eternal Bill Withers classic “Lean On Me,” and its dazed guitar flare-ups don’t compromise its sincerity. Listen to it below.
Home Life is out 7/16 on Underwater Peoples.
