Go Behind-The-Scenes Of Little Duck, James Murphy’s Short Film For Canon
Last year Canon and Oscar-winning director Ron Howard launched a contest for filmmakers of all ilks to compete for five spots in a festival, the lineup of which also includes five celebrity directors: James Murphy, Jamie Foxx, Eva Longoria, designer Georgina Chapman, and Twitter co-founder Biz Stone. We spoke to Murphy about it then, and learned how participants would create a short film inspired by 10 crowdsourced photos. Murphy’s film, Little Duck, shot in Japan this year. It tells “the story of a young man who is pulled from his life in Manhattan back to his home in rural Japan when his estranged brother runs into trouble.” Watch some behind-the-scenes clips below.
Little Duck will premiere at Canon’s Project Imaginat10n Film Festival in NYC this October. You can watch a tiny clip of it here.
