Pelican – “Lathe Biosas” Video
The Chicago instrumental metal crew Pelican return this fall with their new double album Forever Becoming. We’ve already posted their “Immutable Dusk” and their “Deny The Absolute,” and now we get director Diona J. Mavis’s video for the extended churn “Lathe Biosas.” The clip starts with a mustachioed Californian headbanger (former Hydra Head label manager Mark Thompson) throwing on the band’s record and going through a series of increasingly disturbing videos — first of the band rocking out, then of some fucked-up shit. This is one of those music videos that has opening and closing credits, so take it seriously. It’s below.
Forever Becoming is out 10/15 on Southern Lord. I wonder how the band feels about the renamed New Orleans NBA team.
