Frankie Rose, the former Vivian Girls/Crystal Stilts/Dum Dum Girls supporting player, went chiffon new wave on last year’s solo album Interstellar, and it was awesome. She’ll follow that one up next month with the new album Herein Wild, and the new one is sounding promising, too. We already posted the first single “Sorrow,” but the real action might be in “Street Of Dreams,” a Damned cover and a wonderful bit of Bangles/Kim Wilde whisper-pop (with a drawn-out synth coda) that screams out for its own ’80s-movie montage. You should seriously consider listening below because it’s awesome.
