Long time noise-rockers Disco Doom show that unpredictability doesn’t have to fade with time on this track from their upcoming album. In barely two minutes “Ex Teenager” shifts from a hook-filled rocker to pastoral psychedelia, eventually hitting a full-on noise assault near the end. Yet it all flows organically, you never quite notice all the different moving parts. The band’s laid back vibe helps mask a lot of the layered complexity going on here.
