Picked up Dimmer at Other Music last week. Really solid folk/jazz from Jim Elkington and a backing band of Thrill Jockey friends. Think Jim O'Rourke or the Sea & Cake guys' recent solo outings. Dimmer's a dark but pretty slow-burner that we'll be cueing up many a Sunday afternoon this summer. You can catch Zincs live at Mercury Lounge this weekend. In the meantime, here's a sample.
