Watch Travis Morrison Strip Down “Daddy Was A Real Good Dancer” For Esquire
According to a questionable but oft-recycled musical proverb, the best songs can all be stripped down to just a singer and an acoustic guitar. In a recent Esquire Live Session, the Dismemberment Plan’s Travis Morrison puts that thesis to the test — with a slight tweak — by performing a rendition of “Daddy Was A Real Good Dancer,” my favorite song from the Plan’s forthcoming comeback LP Uncanney Valley, accompanied by only an electronic keyboard.
