Earlier this week during a show at Balboa Theater in San Diego, Chris Cornell of Soundgarden mashed up the music from U2’s “One” & the lyrics from Metallica’s “One.” “I never did this before, but I like to do cover songs and I like to pay tribute to bands or artists that I’m a huge fan of,” he said before playing the acoustic double cover. ‘Just through an accident of the Internet it occurred to me that I could save time and put like two different bands or artists together in one song.” Check out a recording below.
