Electronic producer Marley Carroll’s new song “The Hunter” is disorienting in the best possible way. The intro skips like a scratched CD until the beat kicks in and everything makes perfect sense. Here Carroll often takes different choppy, irregular rhythms and fuses them into a unified sound that you can move to. Though the music does lock into a trance-like groove, it’s surprising how many wonderful hooks only show up briefly, leaving you wanting more and craving another listen. Listen below.
