Barring some late-breaking upset, HAIM's cold feet anthem "The Wire" is almost certainly going to end up my favorite single of 2013. I wouldn't change a thing about it. (The humorous video ain't too shabby either.) But those of you who take umbrage with the track's embrace of traditionally unhip sounds -- most prominently, the Eagles' "Heartache Tonight" -- might find more to like about Farhot's remix, which reimagines "The Wire" as slightly chipmunky experimental electro-pop.
