Watch Arcade Fire Debut “I Dreamed A Neil Young Song” With Neil Young At Bridge School Benefit 2013
Arcade Fire played the 2013 Bridge School Benefit last night, and like he did at the event two years ago the charity’s founder Neil Young joined the band onstage. Arcade Fire played three songs from their new album Reflektor (out Tuesday) — “Reflektor,” “Awful Sound (Oh Eurydice),” and “Normal Person” — before introducing a brand new song inspired by Young. Here’s Win:
“I had a dream … We’re playing the song at soundcheck and I remembered, I woke up and remembered everything. I was half asleep and I started playing it and wrote down the lyrics and listened back to my tape recorder and it was basically a Neil Young. So this song is called ‘I Dreamed A Neil Young Song’ and Neil’s gonna come sing it with us. So this song is by Neil Young in my head.”
