Stream Swearin’ Surfing Strange
Next week, the Philly based punkers Swearin’, a Band To Watch as of last year, will release Surfing Strange, the follow-up to their 2012 self-titled debut. Surfing Strange is more layered and thoughtful than that first album, but its also more of an endorphin-rush fuzz-bash than Cerulean Salt, the 2013 album from Waxahatchee, Swearin”s sister band. (“Sister band” is meant literally; Swearin’ frontwoman Allison Cructchfield and Waxahatchee leader Katie Crutchfield are twins.) We’ve already heard the Surfing Strange tracks “Watered Down” and “Dust In The Gold Sack,” and now the whole album is streaming at NPR.
Surfing Strange is out 11/5 on Salinas.
