Andrew Bird – “Pulaski At Night”
Andrew Bird has a new EP coming out soon titled I Want To See Pulaski At Night. Though mostly made up of instrumentals, the title track is a beautifully sung piece built around plucked violin and upright bass. The origin of the song came from an old encounter Bird had with a Thai foreign-exchange student in Chicago, who (referring to the street) desperately wanted to “see Pulaski at night,” as he explained during a live performance in Harlem last year. Listen to the studio version below, and look for the EP later this month.
I Want To See Pulaski At Night is out 11/14, you can pre-order is here.
