The awesomely wizardly San Francisco psych spacemen Wooden Shjips have gone through some changes since they released their last album, 2011's West. They've moved from the Bay to Portland, and they've embraced their inner laid-back classic rockers. So while Back To Land, the band's new album, is still full of the bleary-eyed repetition they do so well, there's a bit more ramshackle melody in there, too, which works just awesomely well.
