The space-rap production legend J Dilla died almost eight years ago, and it’s crazy that there are still unused Dilla beats floating around out there in the ether. Well, there are, and the young Brooklyn ’90s-rap enthusiast Joey Bada$$ got ahold of one of them, huskily riding it and turning it into a new song called “Two Lips.” Joey sounds fine on it, but the murky, bottom-heavy beat is itself the main reason to listen.
