Stream Arcade Fire’s Her Score
Owen Pallett and Will Butler’s score for Spike Jonze’s Best Picture Oscar contender Her — performed by Arcade Fire — was nominated for an Academy Award in its own right for Best Original Score; Jonze and Karen O’s song from the film, “The Moon Song,” also nabbed a Best Original Song nod, so well done all around. We’ve already heard “The Moon Song,” but those of us who haven’t yet had the pleasure of seeing the film can now enjoy Arcade Fire’s soundtrack work thanks to the handy embed below. From the initial sounds I’m hearing, it sounds so emotionally stirring that I may well fall in love with my computer this morning. Listen up below.
Her is in theaters now, and the Oscars air 3/2 on ABC. Fun fact: Jonze says Arcade Fire’s Reflektor closer “Supersymmetry” (which appears here as well) was originally written for Her. Here’s the full tracklist:
