As the musical guest on last night’s episode of Arsenio, the great Californian R&B hornball Ty Dolla $ign sang “Paranoid,” the best song from last year’s Beach House 2 mixtape, and I’m still not sure if I’m hearing the “your chick look like a…” part right. (As of now, my best guest is “booger wolf.”) As a backing band, he brought the brilliant producer DJ Mustard and one slightly doofy violinist. He also ran into the crowd and made it rain, which I’ve never seen anyone do on a talk show before. This guy continues to be an absolute delight, and I’m glad to have him around.
