Wild Beasts forthcoming Present Tense is a truly fucking gorgeous, spacious, sexy, dark record. If you’re into stuff like Slowdive’s Pygmalion or Spirit Of Eden-era Talk Talk or David Sylvian, you will be into this, too. (Of course, if you’re into that stuff, you’re probably already eagerly awaiting Present Tense, and if you’re not into that stuff, I don’t know how to help you.) Anyway, the album’s great first single, “Wanderlust,” dropped early last month, and today, they’ve given us another: “Sweet Spot,” which more than lives up to the promise of its title.
