It’s Valentine’s Day, meaning lovers the world over will be searching for appropriate music to express their feelings of appreciation to their significant others. I’m not sure Tokyo Police Club’s “Happy Valentine’s Day” is the right choice of song to achieve such a purpose — the title appears in the last lines of the song: “We’ve made things difficult far too fast, so Happy Valentine’s.” As the band notes: “We started Tokyo Police Club in high school and the very first song we wrote was ‘Happy Valentines Day.’ It’s a rock song about a senior-year romance falling apart.
