Michigan pop-punk band Fireworks have a new album coming out this year titled Oh, Common Life, their first for Triple Crown Records. The first single from it "Glowing Crosses" is overflowing with melodies, but that brightness is balanced out by David Mackinder's pained lyrics leading into the hook: "You know I'm barely hanging on, I'm burning on your front lawn like a glowing cross."
