Dave Grohl Joins New Hardcore/Metal Supergroup Teenage Time Killer
Dave Grohl is one of the many, many veterans of the ’80s thrash and hardcore scenes who’s part of Teenage Time Killer, a new supergroup spearheaded by Corrosion Of Conformity’s Mike Dean and Reed Mullin. Blabbermouth reports that Grohl has recorded the instrumental parts for a forthcoming record at his Studio 606 studio, using the Sound City mixing board that he made a whole documentary about. The cast of contributors also includes Black Flag/Circle Jerks/OFF! singer Keith Morris, Dead Kennedys’ Jello Biafra, Prong’s Tommy Victor, the Misfits’ Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein, Sepultura’s Max Cavalera, and C.O.C.’s Pepper Keenan and Karl Agell, as well as new-school disciples like Lamb Of God’s Randy Blythe and Municipal Waste’s Tony Foresta. Below, check out a Jump Metal interview in which Mullin and C.O.C.’s Woody Weatherman talk a bit about the project.
It really is time that skate thrash got its own Probot, isn’t it?
