If I were to give a single piece of advice to teenage girls, it would be this: "Don't listen to Pavement." I kid, I kid. Actually, Stephen Malkmus is the latest grown man to participate in Rookie's charming "Ask A Grown Man" video series, in which various adult luminaries answer life-advice questions from young girls. (Previous luminaries include Thom Yorke, Vampire Weekend, and Tunde Adebimpe.) Malkmus takes his vocation seriously, and it makes me like him more, even despite that disaster of a hat he's wearing.
