While Jamie xx is in the midst of playing an intimate residency of 25 shows in New York with his main band, the xx, he just dropped a new single titled “Sleep Sound.” Built out of soft beats, a faintly squeaking melody, and a few monosyllabic vocal samples, the track is sparse while room-filling. In other words, it’s Jamie doing what he does best. Listen below.
