Arcade Fire, Tegan And Sara Win 2014 Juno Awards
Last night, the Junos, Canada’s fiercely national answer to the Grammys, held its 43rd annual awards ceremony. Arcade Fire weren’t there because they were performing at Lollapalooza Chile, but they still took home the night’s biggest award, winning Album Of The Year for Reflektor. (CBC reports that they sent in a taped acceptance video.) But the night’s biggest winners were Tegan And Sara, who had previously been nominated a handful of times and never won. Last night, they took home four awards, more than anyone else — Group Of The Year, Songwriter Of The Year, Single Of The Year for “Closer,” and Pop Album Of The Year for Heartthrob. Also the crowd booed an absent Justin Bieber when he won his fourth straight Fan Choice Award. See the complete list of winners here.
