Watch Dave Grohl & Krist Novoselic On The Tonight Show
Tonight, Nirvana will enter the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame, possibly performing with Joan Jett filling in for Kurt Cobain. All this week, Jimmy Fallon is welcoming incoming Hall Of Famers to The Tonight Show, and last night, Nirvana’s Dave Grohl and Krist Novoselic were there to sit on Fallon’s couch for an interview. (They also introduced Fallon’s Tom Petty parody with Stevie Nicks.) During the interview segment, they remembered the early moments where Nirvana was first blowing up, discussed recording with Paul McCartney, and talked about how hard it can be to smash guitars. When Fallon has straight-up legends on his show, his interviews tend to devolve into Chris Farley “that was awesome” bits with lots of giggling, and that’s what happened here, but it’s still fun to hear these guys remembering a time before they were canonized legends. Watch the interview below.
The Hall Of Fame induction ceremony is tomorrow tonight at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.
