HSY – “Cyber Bully” (Stereogum Premiere)
Toronto band HSY (pronounced “hussy”) caught our attention with their sludgy and grimy punk last year in a number of ways. There were the grossly titled (and gross-sounding) songs “Milk Chug” and “Tartar Mouth,” and their cover of the Nirvana B-side “Moist Vagina” that sounded like a tobacco-stained lung. Now the band will release a 7″ for the new track “Cyber Bully,” which complements their toxic guitar riffs with blood-curdling shrieks from singer Anna Mayberry. It’s wholly unpleasant, but that’s what makes it so great. Listen to it below and look for them on tour.
