“Sunday’s Cool,” our first taste from Turn To Crime’s Can’t Love, found ex-Awesome Color frontman Derek Stanton trading in off-kilter easygoing pop songcraft. “Forgiveness,” the album’s second single, is in the same ballpark, but instead of the prior song’s jagged cadence, it cops a steadily pounding rhythm and bluesy post-punk bluster out of the Lou Reed/David Bowie/Iggy Pop playbook. Consider it the gospel according to Turn To Crime.
