After he took some time earlier this year to collaborate with Ben Chasney (aka Six Organs of Admittance) under the name New Bums, Donovan Quinn is back with his main band Skygreen Leopards who will put out a new album Family Crimes this summer. It was recorded by Jason Quever of Papercuts (who also just put out a new album). According to press materials, the band worked on it in a loose and stripped-down manner, resisting the urge to gloss out mistakes. The first single "Leave The Family" shows that with roughness comes immediacy though, and it maintains the jangly charm Skygreen Leopards' have pulled off for over a decade now.
