Friend Roulette already put out their Grow Younger EP earlier this year, and it was a big, bright burst of experimental chamber pop. So it’s unexpected to see them now taking on a cover of Nine Inch Nails’ “Piggy,” from that band’s classic The Downward Spiral (which recently turned 20). The song appears on an upcoming split single titled Hey Pig with Heliotropes’ cover of “March Of The Pigs.” Friend Roulette don’t really go for Reznor’s creepy vibe, focusing instead on bringing their layered psychedelic sound to the track.
