In terms of popular ’80s throwback artists of today, CYMBALS splits the difference between M83’s widescreen euphoria and Cut Copy’s retro-futuristic club music. “The End,” a standout from the UK band’s recent The Age Of Fracture, demonstrates quite well where they reside on that nostalgia spectrum.
