Watch Stereogum’s Minutes Of BottleRock With No Age, Blues Traveler, Matisyahu, & More; Hosted By Gabe Delahaye
Back in April, we wondered if Napa Valley’s second BottleRock festival offered the strangest festival lineup of 2014. Headline sets from the Cure, OutKast, and Eric Church are not unusual, of course, but the rest of the bill promised a very curious mix of indie faves (TV On The Radio, Thee Oh Sees, No Age, Deerhunter, Matt & Kim) and ’90s hitmakers (Spin Doctors, Gin Blossoms, Third Eye Blind, Blues Traveler, Smash Mouth, Live’s Ed Kowalcyck). You guys responded, “What is this … and why do I want to go to there so much?” And “Yeah I kind of totally want to go to this.” And “What’s up with Matisyahu these days? Did he grow that beard back yet?” So we went! You can check out Stereogum’s daily recaps and photo galleries here. We also brought along a camera crew and writer/comedian/former Videogum editor Gabe Delahaye as our correspondent to catch up with over a dozen bands during the weekend. Here are ten of those videos, which also played on the fest jumbotrons in between sets. Each is a minute long. It’s Napa, so there’s wine.

I don’t know why the guy from Smash Mouth didn’t want to talk to us. I wanted to ask him about this.
