Shark? – “Big Summer (Summer Ale)” (Stereogum Premiere)
NYC rockers Shark? play indie-rock in its purest form: smart yet lackadaisical guitar-bass-drums music, sneaky-catchy and undercut with sentimental vibes. “Big Summer (Summer Ale),” from the band’s new Summer Ale EP, builds upon last year’s full-length debut Savior. It’s the prettiest thing this band has done, and it approaches epic length by this band’s standards, but it still scrapes and sputters with lo-fi charm. Spin it.
Summer Ale will be out 6/17 on cassette and digitally via Old Flame. Pre-order it here. Shark? has several Brooklyn dates coming up:
6/13 Brooklyn, NY @ Pet Rescue (Northisde Festival Loft Show)
6/14 Brooklyn, NY @ Knitting Factory w/Perfect Pussy (Northside Festival VH1 Show)
6/15 Brooklyn, NY @ Northside Festival Deli Magazine Day Show
6/20 Brooklyn, NY @ Death By Audio w/Rozwell Kid, Sleeping Bag
