Just after releasing the video for the heartrending cover of Joey Ramone’s cancer-fighting call to arms “I Got Knocked Down (But I’ll Get Up),” School Of Seven Bells have confirmed that they’ll release an album of new recordings featuring the late Benjamin Curtis. Apparently Curtis had already recorded all his parts for a new record before cancer claimed his life last year — he started before his diagnosis and continued throughout his treatment — and now singer Alejandra Deheza is going into the studio to finish up the project. There are no further details at this time, so stay tuned for more.
