Shellac Dude Incredible Details
Shellac, the longstanding Midwestern scrape-rock trio featuring famed audio engineers Steve Albini and Bob Weston plus drummer Todd Trainer, just announced their fifth album. It’s called Dude Incredible (which is an incredible title, dude), and it’s coming out this September on Touch And Go. The album was recorded sporadically over the past few years at Albini’s Chicago studio Electrical Audio. A press release specifies, “There is no comma in Dude Incredible; like Sir Duke or King Friday, for example.” We’re also told, “Both the CD and LP version of Dude Incredible come packaged in a chipboard album jacket with two high gloss, full color monkeys on the front cover.” Because Shellac are audiophiles and analog fanatics, the album was mastered using the all-analog Direct Metal Mastering process. Continues the statement, “Audio quality is paramount, as always, with Shellac.” Tracklist:
